Introduction
Wondering How to Solve All Your Computer Problems... Fast & Forever... Even if You're Brand New to Computers And Think You'll Never Learn Them ... Then this Book is for you. Below you have 5 FREE sample questions answered:
Question 1:
What is a computer virus?
Answer:
A virus in a brief explanation is small to large amount of
code that an individual has created to destroy, corrupt, or
steal data without user's permission.
Question 2:
Why can't I turn off my computer?
Answer:
New computers have special power features that help to
prevent additional issues. Some of these features may not allow
the computer to turn off when the computer is locked or in
Windows. Hold down the power button for 10 - 15 seconds without
letting go.
Question 3:
Is there anyway to save using so much ink when using my
printer?
Answer:
Yes, if you have a bubble jet printer you could first of
all use your Economy Mode if it's not the finished printing.
Lighten the black intensity (saturation). Don't print in color
if you don't have to. Use your black cartridge, if you have
only one cartridge slot, when possible. Invest in a Laser
Printer. They're a lot easier on ink.
Question 4:
Can a virus on your hard drive spread on its own?
Answer:
Depending on the situation, yes. There is one key ingredient
to a virus spreading on its own - you have to initially start
it. A virus can't start on its own, but it can certainly spread
on its own. If you have a virus sitting in an e-mail on your
system, you are fine as long as you don't run the virus by
clicking on the attachment. Viruses come in all shapes and
sizes but they all have the instinct to survive; spreading is
one of the key elements of that survival. Many viruses are e-
mail based but that doesn't mean they need your e-mail client
running to be able to send themselves from your computer. The
key to stopping a virus is to never run it. If you get an e-
mail with an attachment that you weren't expecting, delete the
e-mail. It is easier for someone to resend a message to you
than it is for you to stop a virus on your computer. Just
remember, a virus can't spread on its own if you never run it
first.
Question 5:
Why can't I get my computer speaker to work?
Answer:
Ensure that the sound card works properly by connecting
either another pair of speakers to the computer or a pair of
headphones.
Note: Do not test the sound through a game or other program but
instead by playing either a CD or a sound file. It is possible
that a program or game may be unable to play the sound for
other non-related issues. Also verify that the speakers are
connected properly.
Verify that power is being received by the speakers. Generally
all speakers will have a small LED (light) indicating if the
speaker is on. Verify that if this light is present that it is
illuminated.
Verify that the volume knob on the speakers is properly turned
up. If you are un-certain which direction to turn the knob play
a long sound file or CD and while the sound is being played
adjust the knob left to right or up to down.
The sound is also able to be turned up and down through the
software installed on the computer. Verify the sound settings
in the software are properly turned up.
Finally if all of the above recommendations do not resolve your
issue and connecting another pair of speakers or headphones to
the computer does work it is likely that the speakers are bad.
It is recommended you contact the manufacturer of the speakers
or computer for a new replacement.
