The 4 Foolproof Tips to Generate Excitement
There's nothing more frustrating than truly believing
in something and not being able to spread the word about it.
We know you're excited about our MingleStick -- so much so
that you signed up as an affiliate -- and you want to tell
the world about it, not keep it a secret.
*Plus, secrets don't put money in your pocket.*
But when your subscribers don't open your e-mail -- much
less respond to it -- what you have, my friend, is a secret.
So how do you get your customers to open, read, and respond
to your e-mails instead of hitting "delete"?
I'm about to reveal to you THE 4 FOOLPROOF TIPS to writing irresistible e-mails that generate excitement -- and cash.
1. CREATE A MEMORABLE SUBJECT LINE
Your subject line is your e-mail's headline. As with a newspaper,
if the headline doesn't grab people's attention, they'll never
read what you have to say -- but if it does, it'll stop them
in their tracks.
Be sure your subject line is related to your content. If your
subject line is misleading, people will stop reading --
the opposite of what you want.
A good subject line inspires enough curiosity to prevent readers
from chucking your e-mail straight into the trash bin.
A GREAT subject line actually gets readers TO OPEN THE E-MAIL.
And that's the goal!
2. OPEN WITH A BRIEF AND INTERESTING STORY
Now that you've grabbed your readers' attention, how do you keep
them hooked?
When you write about something personal in your e-mails, you have
a much better chance of getting read and getting responses.
Why? Because personal stories are more memorable; they allow your reader to better relate to you and your product or service; and
they inspire trust and loyalty.
Again, make sure your story is relevant to whatever it is you're promoting.
3. IDENTIFY YOUR READERS' NEED EARLY ON
While an engaging story keeps your customers reading past the headline, don't forget that the only reason they opened your
e-mail is to find out WHAT'S IN IT FOR THEM.
If all they read about is YOU, before long, they'll start
to yawn. So ask yourself before you start writing, "What need
does this product or service fill for my prospect? And how does
my story relate to that need?" Don't wait too long to bring up
the benefits, or your readers will lose interest and trash your
e-mail.
4. HAVE ONE AND *ONLY ONE* CALL TO ACTION
Your affiliate e-mail has one purpose, and one purpose only:
to get the person on the other end to leap into action.
Whether that action is clicking on a link or calling a phone
number, it should be the only action you ask them to take.
Why? Because it has been proven time and again that the more
options people have, the less they will do with them. Your
readers don't want to puzzle through a maze: they want YOU
to give them one simple, easy direction.
So that's it! No more secrets. Simple, isn't it? Now go out
and give it a shot: write your first Mingle360 affiliate e-mail.
